How nice to once again welcome Nicolas Thys in our living room, a top player in the Belgian jazz scene. This time we see him at work together with his daughter Eva Rose.

Nicolas Thys is a Belgian bass player born in 1968. In 1994 he graduated from the Hilversum Conservatory in the Netherlands, where he trained in bass and double bass. During his career he received several awards, including the Django d’Or “New Talent” in 2001. His first album was released in 1997 with his group Alice’s 5 Moons. He then performed solo, but also with numerous artists: Toots Thielemans, Mark Turner, Judy Niemack, Kenny Werner, Ivan Paduart…

Nicolas Thys and his daughter Eva Rose form a duo and play a varied repertoire. Their only goal: enjoy making music together and let the audience enjoy it too. The repertoire consists of jazz, soul, rock, pop songs and even compositions written by Eva Rose. A story of complicity, poetry and emotion on the meanders of the music.
