Mr Diagonal (aka Dan Barbenel) is a multi-faceted pianist/singer-songwriter at the frontiers of pop, cabaret and theatre music. He creates witty, mysteriously precise melodic gems mined from the same rich seam as Kurt Weil, Tom Lehrer, Divine Comedy. Much appreciated in Japan, he has featured on BBC radio 3’s Late Junction and in the UK Guardian. His shows are presented with a knowing lunacy and a vein of black humour.
